This entrance gate imitates, in very reduced size, the model of the great gopurams of South Indian temples: these are monumental structures, towering high, which imitate in shape and decorations the wooden structures that were used in the first millennium of the common era. Shantivanam is the ashram of the Holy Trinity, Sat-Cit-Ananda, “Being-Consciousness-Bliss” or eternal Father, eternal Logos-Word, and eternal Spirit of Love.
